Tipico Livebetting Review
Tipico are relatively new to Livebetting but have made a name for themselves with the quality of their odds. Having started just 5 years ago, diversity in sports and betting markets is not a strong point for the Malta based company. Livebetting has not been made as much of a priority and is seen in the simplicity of their software and layout. They concentrate mainly on Football, where odds are quoted from both televised and less popular matches. Tipico is a small but growing company who are more concerned with odds quality than bet quantity.
The Livebetting interface has a minimalist feel and is easy to get used to. Current matches can be viewed at the top of the less page while upcoming games are listed at the bottom. The Bet Slip pops up in the right frame where you can create Singles, Multiples or System bets. Tipico’s Multiples feature is one of the best available. They do not limit the number of Livebetting combinations and even offer several ‘System bets’ that allow you to win big with minimal risk. Phone numbers for the support center are located beneath the Bet Slip.
Tipico place only a 7% Juice/Vig on Livebetting odds and many other bookmakers can not compete with that kind of value. Herein lies Tipico’s greatest feature as their market diversity is not so great. For Football, prices are only quoted for Match Odds, Remaining Match Odds, Next Goal and Remaining Goals odds. Also, many of the popular matches are only available for betting at halftime. Other sports have similarly basic market offerings with higher-than-average value.
Tipico does not fluctuate odds as often as other bookmakers, giving the bettor more time to contemplate a certain price. Tipico has made this a feature of their Livebetting experience so that users can consider Multiples and Systems bets options. There is less of a hectic feeling than experienced on, for example, Betfair. Bets are processed and approved quickly because of fewer odds movements.
Diversity in sport offerings has not been Tipico’s biggest strength, but they are slowly developing this aspect of their site. Football is the main ingredient with a few sprinklings of (for example) Basketball and Handball throughout. European sports are the main concentration for now, but as Tipico continues to expand we will likely see more sports being offered.
Tipico include a live scores section as well as extensive statistics for upcoming and in-play matches. Unfortunately, they are not yet large enough to offer Live streaming video to customers. This has become a staple feature of many other Livebetting sites but Tipico are – at least at the moment – more concerned with reducing overhead to keep odds competitive.
