Poker – Card Values
In the following paragraphs all of the possible 5-card-combinations will be listed according to their values – from the lowest hand to the highest hand.
One Pair
Two cards of the same denomination. F.e. two 9’s
Two Pairs
Two cards of the same denomination and two of another denomination.
F.e. two 4’s and two 9’s.
Three of a kind
Three cards of the same denomination.
F.e. three 6’s.
Straight
Five cards in denomination sequence.
F.e. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, etc.
Flush
Five cards of the same colour/suit but not in denomination sequence.
Full House
Three of a Kind and a Pair. F.e. three 4’s and two 7’s.
Poker
Four cards of the same denomination.
F.e. four 9’s, four Queens four Kings, etc.
Straight Flush
Five cards in denomination sequence and all in one suit/colour.
F.e. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in spades
Royal Flush
A Straight Flush from 10 to Ace. If the Flush is not to Ace it is just a Straight Flush and not a Royal Flush.
